Duncan Ridge Trail, GA • 09:00 am Aug 20 - 6:00 am Aug 21, 2011
Costs
$30.00 (add $5 to get a t-shirt) Course
The course will run up and around the Duncan Ridge Trail in the Blue Ridge Ranger District. The course will cover the Duncan Ridge Trail minus the section in the Blood Mtn Wilderness. Other side trails and fire roads will be used to ensure that runners have sufficient practice ascending and descending ridges, gaps, knobs, and balds of the Duncan Ridge. The race is limited to the first 50 to enter. Aid
Tailgate aid will be provided at 6 – 7 aid stops (2 – 3 unmanned aid locations are also planned). Water, Gatorade, and ice will be the main staples, with some trail snacks. Directions
The start finish will be published after 4 July. Drop bags
Because 3 support teams probably will be needed, plan on using 3 drop bags if running without crew support. This is a limited support (and budget) race so don’t depend on the race helpers for rides and special supplies. Spouses and friends are welcome and may be enlisted to support runners. Please remember
This is a low key event. A hard run with no frills. Awards
No awards or metals. The results will be posted to the event website and submitted to Ultrarunning. Download Form and Waypoints
